During our trip through Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, we discovered a true hidden gem: Auberge du Vieux Faubourg. We had only planned to stay for one night, but the peaceful atmosphere, breathtaking views, and overall charm of the place made us feel so relaxed and at home that we decided to extend our stay to two nights. It was one of those rare places where the environment immediately invites you to slow down and truly enjoy the moment. The inn is perfectly located right on the waterfront, offering spectacular views over the St. Lawrence River. Waking up to the sound of waves and watching the sun set over the water from our room was simply magical. The setting is serene and picturesque, ideal for anyone looking to escape the noise and pace of everyday life. Our room was cozy, immaculately clean, and tastefully decorated in a simple, coastal style that fit the surroundings perfectly. The bed was comfortable, and we especially appreciated the little details that made our stay more pleasant—plenty of natural light, quiet surroundings, and a true sense of calm. The staff at the Auberge were welcoming, kind, and attentive. Although our stay was short, we felt genuinely cared for. Their recommendations for local dining and walks nearby were also spot-on. The location of the inn made it easy to explore the town and enjoy long walks along the shoreline, or simply sit and breathe in the fresh sea air. In the end, it wasn’t just the comfort of the room or the beauty of the landscape that convinced us to stay longer—it was the feeling that we had found a place where time slows down and life feels simple again. Auberge du Vieux Faubourg is a place to rest, to reconnect, and to remember how beautiful the quiet moments can be. We would absolutely return and recommend it to anyone visiting the Gaspésie region. It’s not just a place to sleep—it’s a place to feel. 🚗 Driving Itinerary: Sainte-Anne-des-Monts to Trois-Pistoles 🛣️ Step-by-Step Directions: 🗺️ Points of Interest Along the Way:

A Peaceful Stop After a Long Flight
We stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites P.E. Trudeau Airport after a long international flight, and although we were extremely tired and still adjusting to the jet lag, everything went smoothly. Check-in was quick and friendly, and our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable — exactly what we needed after a long journey. We didn’t have the energy to explore much, but we were very satisfied with the essentials: a good bed, a hot shower, and a peaceful night’s sleep. At the time, we were traveling as a couple, before our son was born, and this hotel was a great choice for a short, restful stay near the airport. The location is convenient, especially with the free airport shuttle service and early breakfast options. In short: we didn’t stay long, but everything was just right. We would happily return in similar circumstances.
