here are places you stay at, and then there’s Le San. It’s an old presbytery just 10 minutes from the medieval town of Provins, but it feels worlds away from the tourist crowds. From the second we arrived, it was clear this wasn't going to be a standard, cold guesthouse experience.
Mickaël, Raphaël, and Yannick have done something impressive here. They’ve kept the character of the old stones and beams but made the place feel warm and alive. You don’t feel like a customer; you feel like a guest in a friend’s home.
The garden, the pool, and the jacuzzi are great for actually switching off. But the real standout is the food. They are strictly vegetarian, and even if you’re a dedicated meat-eater, you’ll be impressed. The meals are creative, fresh, and honestly, better than most restaurants in the area. It’s a rare spot where you can actually slow down and just be.
