From October 23 to November 3, 2024, the Baggerweier site in Remerschen hosted the inaugural edition of Haunted Lake Halloweeks, organized by Erliefnis Baggerweier ASBL in collaboration with Restaurant Le Chalet. This event aimed to offer an immersive Halloween experience, combining spooky entertainment with culinary delights in a picturesque natural setting.
🎃 An Ambitious Halloween Experience
The event’s program was designed to cater to all ages, featuring:
- Children’s Activities: Creative workshops and costume contests for the little ones.
- Themed Evenings: Afterwork gatherings and special Halloween dinners with cocktails.
- Dedicated Days: Events tailored for seniors and appearances by characters like the Addams Family.

Despite the promising concept, our visit to Haunted Lake Halloweeks was marred by significant organizational issues. The event was scheduled to start at a specific time, yet even thirty minutes past the announced hour, preparations were incomplete, and activities had not commenced. There was a lack of communication from the organizers, leaving attendees, including many families with eager children, in a state of confusion and frustration.
This delay and absence of information significantly dampened the festive atmosphere and led to disappointment among visitors who had anticipated a well-orchestrated Halloween celebration.
