Next, we explored the historic headquarters of Villeroy & Boch, one of Europe’s most renowned ceramic brands. Inside, you’ll find a museum showcasing the company’s evolution through centuries of ceramic design, from classic tableware to contemporary pieces.
One of the highlights is the baroque-style garden surrounding the building — a beautiful space to stroll, take photos, or simply sit and enjoy. Afterward, we visited the factory outlet store, where visitors can browse and shop for elegant ceramics at reduced prices.

In the afternoon, we ventured out to see one of the region’s most iconic natural landmarks: the Saarschleife — a dramatic loop in the Saar River surrounded by dense forest. The best view is from the Cloef lookout, where the river bends in a perfect horseshoe shape. The scene is breathtaking, especially when the light softens near sunset.
For an even more spectacular experience, we walked the Baumwipfelpfad (tree-top walk), a gently sloping wooden path that leads above the forest canopy. At the top, the 360-degree panoramic view left us speechless — a true highlight of the day.
