On a sunny, warm day — perfect weather for dining outdoors — we decided to enjoy a meal at Restaurant Amélys, located in the heart of Luxembourg. The inviting terrace provided the perfect setting for a relaxed and elegant evening.
Although we had to wait a bit longer than expected to be served, it was ultimately worth it. The staff remained professional and courteous throughout, and once the food arrived, we were not disappointed. Every dish was well presented, flavorful, and clearly prepared with attention to detail.
That said, there was one minor disappointment: the « bouchée à la reine », priced at €23, was noticeably small. In fact, it was the smallest portion out of all the dishes we saw or ordered — smaller than the salad, the fish, or even the beef filet. For that price, we expected a bit more generosity on the plate.
Aside from that, everything was enjoyable. The combination of good food, a beautiful setting, and warm weather made it a very pleasant evening overall.
