F or this trip to Düsseldorf, we skipped the big hotels and decided to stay with a local host, Christian Schatzinger. It was, hands down, the best decision we could have made. From the moment we arrived, it didn’t feel like a rental; it felt like being welcomed into a warm, beautifully kept home where every detail was designed for comfort.

The Perfect Family Set-up The apartment is tucked away in a car-free zone, which is a total game-changer when you’re traveling with kids. It’s quiet, safe, and just 50 meters from a great playground—perfect for letting the little ones burn off energy while you actually get a moment to relax.

Fresh ingredients, elegant presentation, and those little thoughtful touches that make you feel truly looked after. It was the best possible start to our days of exploring the city.

Practical & Peaceful The place is fully equipped, the bed is incredibly comfortable, and public transport is so close that getting around Düsseldorf is effortless. It was the perfect peaceful retreat to return to after a busy day. A huge thanks to Christian for his kindness and for setting such a high bar for hospitality.
