Bo Zai Fan

"Modern Vibes, but the Soul is Missing"

We went out with friends to Bo Zai Fan in the heart of Luxembourg City, thinking it looked like a cool, modern spot for a meal together. The decor is nice and the atmosphere is relaxed, but honestly, we left with mixed feelings.

Right away, we were hit with the "tablet-only" ordering system. You do everything on a screen at the table—no talking to servers, no recommendations, nothing. While I get that it's "modern" and maybe fast, it felt really impersonal. When you go out as a group, you want that human connection, not just a high-end fast-food vibe where you’re staring at another screen.

The food started off strong. The dim sum was actually great—balanced flavors, fresh ingredients, and really well presented. It set the bar high. But then the main courses came, and the enthusiasm just died. Even though the portions were big, the taste was just... flat. For the prices they charge, we expected something with much more character and flavor.

That’s the main issue: the value for money. The bill was way too high for what we actually ate. A cool setting and a tablet don't justify those prices when the main dishes don't deliver. You can definitely find better spots in Luxembourg that offer a warmer welcome and much better food for the same budget. It’s worth a stop for the dim sum, but as a full dining experience, it’s frustrating and overpriced.
