After testing out the Aqua Mundo and trying the mini-golf, we couldn’t resist checking out one of the activities that always catches the kids’ eyes as you walk by: the Kids Safari. You know, those little electric jeeps that promise adventure… or at least a fun ride around the park!
An Exciting Concept for Little Explorers
Picture this: a mini 4×4, perfectly sized for young drivers, ready to hit the track. As soon as you arrive, the kids’ eyes light up. The idea of driving « just like mum and dad » is always a hit at that age.
The track is set up in a natural area, with fun decorations and even a few animal figures to bring the safari theme to life. For little ones, it’s pure excitement. They hop in, all smiles, ready to conquer the jungle… or at least, the Center Parcs version of it.
A Big Plus for Parents: The Remote Control
What we really appreciated as parents is the safety aspect. Each vehicle comes with a remote control for the parents. At any time, if your child gets too adventurous, veers off the path, or just presses the pedal a bit too hard — you can stop the car instantly.
Honestly, that remote is reassuring. It lets the kids have fun, but you still have control if needed.
The Downside: The Track Could Be Bigger
Now, let’s be honest… the track itself is pretty short. After just one lap, our little driver already looked a bit bored. And to be fair, we understood. The concept is brilliant, but the space is limited.
It would be great to see a larger area, more turns, maybe a few playful obstacles to spice things up. As it is, older kids or those used to driving electric cars at home might quickly lose interest.
A Fun Little Activity Between Other Adventures
Despite the short track, we can’t deny that the Kids Safari is still a fun activity, especially as a break between bigger activities. After swimming, before dinner, or while the parents grab a coffee — it’s a simple, short experience that works well for younger kids.
It’s also a great way for little ones to experience driving in a safe, controlled environment — and feel proud of their little adventure.
Our Final Opinion
We loved:
✔️ The original concept that excites young kids
✔️ The safety with the parental remote control
✔️ The fun safari theme and decorations
We liked less:
⛔ The track is too small to keep the kids engaged for long
⛔ The experience feels repetitive after one quick lap
In short, the Kids Safari at Center Parcs Les Ardennes is a cute, family-friendly activity that adds a bit of variety to your stay. It’s not the main attraction, but for young kids, it brings that little extra dose of fun.
💭 What about your kids — do they love electric vehicles, or do they prefer longer, more adventurous activities? Would you have liked to see a bigger safari track around the park?
